Brian Viglione has played with world renowned bands such as Nine Inch Nails, Violent Femmes and his own band The Dresden Dolls, which is having a reunion this summer. Meanwhile, his new band Scarlet Sails is setting off for their first national tour.
Brian and Armando first met while the Dresden Dolls were on tour in Germany in 2005. Brian has provided thrilling drum solos and creative ambient sounds made with his collection of unique percussion instruments for the soundtrack of Engrams.
Formed in the autumn of 2011, Mici is a band from Skopje Macedonia. Engrams’ Associate Producer Marija Mihailova writes the lyrics and performs vocals for the band consisting of Simon Peoski, Gorjan Stojmenovski and Viktor Tanaskovski. Including progressive, dub and hip-hop influences, their sound stretches the imagination with avant-garde musicianship and tremendous performances. The band reunited to professionally record a song from their unreleased second album for the closing credits of Engrams.
Neil Struble and Nick Cunningham work together as Metempsychosis, a progressive experimental electronic band featuring a cabal of like-minded musicians based out of Michigan. Their soundtrack work is featured extensively on the Crispin Glover odyssey “Aimy in a Cage” as well as a short film called “Padulong sa Pinuy-anan” and they have self-produced three full length albums.
Paul and Armando (no relation) met through mutual interest in the progressive rock band The Mars Volta in 2008. Since then, they have occasionally performed experimental improvised music together. Paul recorded ambient sound effects, chillingly emotional guitar arpeggios, melodies and extended eeriness for the film.
